I am taking my children through the Red Sea
In the early morning hours of August 20, 2022 I heard this phrase in my spirit: “ I am taking my people through the Red Sea.” As I typed it into my phone, the following word flowed out.
“Look and see all around there is no way through. You are hemmed in on every side and disaster is nigh. The enemy pursues you with relentless fury. You are backed into a corner with no back door. Their intent is to annihilate you.
But do not fear, says the Lord, for I am with you. You are mine and I hold you in the palm of my hand. Their efforts to destroy you will fail, because I am with you, and I will show my power and my glory in such an unmistakable way, they will tremble and fear my name. My way of escape through the Red Sea on dry land for my people also spells the destruction of your enemies. They will pursue you no more, as their pursuit of you to destroy you will backfire and be their demise.
Hear the tambourines and see the dancing celebration. My name is salvation and I will work it in the earth for my people. Rejoice and celebrate for your redemption draws near. I am not a God who is far off. I am near. I see and hear. I will act and will not delay. So be at peace today, no matter what the naysayers say. My power is great and my arm is not too short to save. I will work a mighty salvation with my powerful right hand. Make no mistake, it is my hand that will win the victory over my enemies. They have crossed the line, they have gone too far. My justice will not allow them to continue on their wicked courses.
So be strong and courageous. Do not fear, my salvation is so near. The way through the Red Sea will appear and I will safely lead you through to the other side, into the promised land that is flowing with milk and honey and provisions of every kind. The treasures of the wicked you will inherit. The silver is mine. The gold is mine. What is mine is yours for you are mine.”
If you aren’t familiar with the Exodus story of the crossing of the Red Sea on dry ground and the destruction of Pharaoh and his army who were in hot pursuit of them, you can read in Exodus 14. For a deeper look at the crossing of the Red Sea, you can review my previous blog entitled “God has a plan, He isn’t just in reactionary mode - Parts 2 and 3.”
The story is retold by Moses as a song of victory, in Exodus 15:1-19, . As I was reading it, several key verses popped out at me concerning the wind and breath of God being the means of God winning this massive victory. Alain Caron, an apostle friend of mine, confirmed this saying ”This is very key as the Lord is dispelling the clouds of confusion and witchcraft by blowing them off.” I have highlighted them in the passage below.
““Your right hand, O Lord, is glorious in power. Your right hand, O Lord, smashes the enemy. In the greatness of your majesty, you overthrow those who rise against you. You unleash your blazing fury; it consumes them like straw. At the blast of your breath, the waters piled up! The surging waters stood straight like a wall; in the heart of the sea the deep waters became hard. “The enemy boasted, ‘I will chase them and catch up with them. I will plunder them and consume them. I will flash my sword; my powerful hand will destroy them.’ But you blew with your breath, and the sea covered them. They sank like lead in the mighty waters. “Who is like you among the gods, O Lord— glorious in holiness, awesome in splendor, performing great wonders? You raised your right hand, and the earth swallowed our enemies. “With your unfailing love you lead the people you have redeemed. In your might, you guide them to your sacred home.” Exodus 15:6-13 NLT
The reference to tambourines and dancing is found in Exodus 15:20-21 where Miriam takes up her tambourine and leads the women in a dance and song of Victory.
For a description of the Promised Land where “milk and honey” flows, see Exodus 3:8 or Numbers 14:8
And finally, Proverbs 13:22 and Proverbs 28:8 talk about the “wealth of the wicked being stored up for the righteous.” And Haggai 2:8-9 tells us who owns the gold and silver.
Be encouraged dear friends, God is setting us up for a massive victory over His enemies. His East wind is beginning to blow. Watch for it. It will blow through this, the darkest of nights, bringing judgement on His enemy and opening a path of victory for His people. Dance and celebrate, heaven is! Remember, it is always darkest before the dawn, but “as surely as the dawn, He will come.” (Hosea 6:3) “So let us press on to know the Lord”, to be found in Him, and full of faith that He will do all He has promised.
